I went to Hogwarts! Seriously!

I love living in Florida, because it is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world. That means that our field trips are AMAZING. Like yesterday. I got up at 4:00 in the morning, got ready, and headed to school. I boarded my bus, my backpack full of food and my heart, of excitement. Why? Because we were heading to Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios in Orlando, the new home of Hogwarts. That’s right. Hogwarts. When we got to the park, we couldn’t get it because our school actually bought expired tickets… So it took us a while to actually get in. When we were finally admitted, we trekked through Seussville and rode the Cara-Seuss-El. My friend Stephanie was wearing skinny jeans, but it was so hot that she needed to change. So she bought a pair of pants and changed in the restroom. Then we had to head to Jurassic Park because we had to meet and check in with our teachers at 1. On the way, we passed Hogwarts, where I took a ton of pictures. Then, three of my friends rode the Dueling Dragons, while Stephanie and I stayed on the ground with their things (because I’m scared of heights!) As we were sitting on a nearby bench, we caught a glimpse of a barred up Hogsmeade…and then this guy showed behind the bars that was wearing a Gryffindor robe! And he kept staring at us! And I had the urge to run up to him and scream “Are you Viktor Krum?!?!?!?!” Ahaha, because that was the HP character he looked most like. Unfortunately, after we finished whispering amongst ourselves, we looked up and saw that he had left. Then our friends came back from the ride and we kept walking. Once we entered Jurassic Park, we stopped for lunch at Burger Digs where I got a burger and some onion rings (for only $20, because I had a meal deal pass). I waited in line to order for about 20 minutes and then I waited for my food for about 40. During that time, my friend Gaby managed to get lost (*sigh*) and my Stephanie left after her. Courtney and I ordered our food, which we ate. Then, we saw that it was 12:30 and we rushed to find our teachers. Some girl I didn’t know told us where they were, but Stephanie and Gaby were nowhere to be found. I called Gaby at 12:50 and she said that they had JUST gotten their food at 12:30. So I told them to take it and run because time was almost up. They got there at 2 to 1, thankfully and they didn’t get in trouble. Then, my friend Savannah decided to go with her friend Julie to ride the Incredible Hulk while we held her stuff and my friend finished her lunch. After that, we took off, and rode the Amazing Spider Man. In the middle of the ride, our car got stuck…yeppp, it got stuck. It was up high and it was slanted. It was horrible, and all the while, we were being sprayed. Two minutes later, our ride started back up and ended, and  we tore out of there as fast as possible. We exited through the gift shop and saw Spiderman! Not Toby McGuire, unfortunately, but a guy dressed up in a Spiderman costume. I tried to take a picture with him, but before it was my turn, he said “Ok, gotta go!” and ran out. I ran after to see where he went and he climbed upon a four wheeler and started revving it. Then, police sirens went off and the four other main Marvel heroes showed up, including Captain America and Wolverine. They drove off quickly, but thankfully, I got a picture. Seeing as there was nothing else worth waiting for in the giftshop, we departed. It was about 100 F, so we decided to get a slushie or some ice cream. The first 3 stands along the way were deserted, so we kept walking until we finally found one in the Toon Lagoon. We waited in line for over half an hour because there was a hold up at the front of the line. Then, when we finally got to order, I got a Pina Colada (non alcoholic, of course!) Tropical Freeze, which I happily sipped. Everyone else got a strawberry and turned their mouths red, while my practically clear drink did nothing to me :] Then, as I was drinking my slushee, at around 3, I called Savannah and told her to get her stuff. She said that she had JUST gotten off the Hulk. *sigh* I don’t like lines. She came and took her things, and Courtney, Stephanie, Gaby, and I continued towards through the park. We headed back to Seussville, because we all wanted to get on the High in the Sky Trolley Train, but the line was too long. Instead, we headed to the Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous to get our money’s worth for the meal deal (In hindsight, I feel that it would have been prudent to get only 1 meal deal pass instead of one for each of us, because meal deal is all you can eat, all day.) I ordered a pizza and ate the whole thing myself, as did Courtney and Gaby. As we were eating, we saw the riders of the Trolley Train passing through the restaurant and we waved at them like idiots. Only a few of them waved back :[ A while later, another group of kids started waving at them. Stupid posers. >:[ . Then we went back on the Cara-Seuss-El. We saw that it was 4:30 and started heading back towards the entrance. We were supposed to meet by the buses by 5:00 and we knew it would take us a while to get there. We finally got to the entrance, where we saw my math teacher, but he wasn’t the teacher we were supposed to meet. Then, Stephanie decided she had to change back into her jeans, and she left without telling me. Courtney, in the meanwhile, went to the candy store. Gaby and I were buying souvenirs. Stephanie came back and we followed her to the candy store, where we saw Savannah and Julie. After conversing for a bit with Savannah, she left, but Courtney was still in line. Then, Stephanie left. We headed back to the gates, where there was a clearance section. Courtney decided to go buy something, and Gaby and I stayed there, glancing anxiously at our phones to check the time. When Courtney was done, the three of us waited for Stephanie, but we saw that it was 5:10. We freaked out, and I told Courtney we had to leave. She started crying, but I explained to her that Steph was smart enough to figure out where she was supposed to go. We exited the park and I heard someone calling me. I turned around and it was Stephanie. It was now 5:20. We ran down the stairs and called Savannah, asking where the bus was. She told me where it was and we hurtled towards it. It was the last bus in the ENTIRE line. We finally climbed aboard, safely. I sagged into my seat, exhausted. The day was done. Savannah gave me a brownie and I ate it. The bus started up and we left. I glanced back and spotted my love, Hogwarts, getting farther and farther away. Good Lord, that was fun. I’ve decided that I am going to get a job there. Universal Studios is AMAZING. I could probably work at The Wizarding of Harry Potter as one of the Patil twins…I think I could pull it off :] Well, once on the bus, I took Savannah’s phone and texted Tiffany, telling her about my adventures. I realized that the HP attraction opens on her birthday! So that is where we plan to go. Oh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Universal!!!! I am going back as soon as I can, hopefully on my birthday or on Tiff’s. That really was one of the best days ever. I know I won’t forget it, and I will try to post pictures soon. They’re on my phone and I have no idea how to get them on this computer, especially because I can’t text or picture text. On the bus, someone had stolen $50 and they didn’t know who did it. The teachers tried various methods to get someone to give it back, but it didn’t work. Then they said they would search the entire bus. They never did though, because I think someone confessed. The bus ride home was filled with people singing J.B. and other lame songs, especially this one kid sitting by me named Carrington. We got home at around 11. But anyways, if you’re ever in Florida, make sure to go to Universal because that place is EPIC! Just make sure its not a day that its crowded or hot :P I am infatuated with it. I wish I lived there.
